Updates, Updates, Updates!

Hey there, Fellow Creatures!

What’s good in thy woods? Hard to believe it’s already August! The Summer is flying by like all those Canadian geese I constantly hear honking overhead outside my window.

Hope you’ve been enjoying some sun and shade and are getting into some mischief.

The Hall clan has been staying busy in Elsewhere. There have been many trips to local swim spots, some camps for the kiddos, long walks with Casco and trying to keep him cool, and even some amusement parks thrown into the mix (which has exposed my cowardice in my older age. I can’t even hang in the kiddy-coasters!)

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind thus far, but I’m excited that there’s still a month of Summer left to get into.

Between doing my best attempts at the 100m freestyle (sorry, in total Olympic mode) and wrangling Casco away from the front-yards rabbits that he so desperately wants to chase, I’ve been continuing to move forward on some stories.

Under a God-Made Mountain, my new focus is currently in the hands of beta readers. Feedback is trickling in! Some good, some not so good. So once the feedback is all done then I’ll need to get some updates to the manuscript to polish it up, get it to a good spot, and then it’s publication time!

In the meantime, I’m starting my review of draft 1 of Stone of the Scarred. As mentioned before, there’s still plenty of work to be done before that’s in a reasonable, coherent spot before I dive into book 3.

This may be a disappointment to some of you who are looking for a quicker turnaround time, but my plan is to finish book 3 and book 4 and do a simultaneous release for all 3 books to round out the series.

Fear not, though, as hopefully, you’ll be getting some newer content well before all 3 books are done and ready to drop.

I’ve been attending some online talks from Bookfunnel (the service I use to host some of my freebies) and they’ve convinced me that I need to be doing more free giveaways to my newsletter readers, something I’ve not been great about creating.

However, I’m hoping to change that.

I hope that I can drum up some new stories about Requiem before releasing the rest of the Scarred World saga.  By the time we meet Requiem, he’s seen some things, accumulated some scars, been through enough to have his toes inch closer to the Edge…

What are those things he’s seen?

I’m hoping some of these stories will explore Requiem’s past along the way.

I’ve no timetable yet for how long this will take or when you can expect to get your paws on it, but just wanted you to know it’s in the works, and I’ll keep posting here and on my Newsletter as details emerge.

That’s all I’ve got for now, Fellow Creatures!

Until next time,

Stay spicy,

-Jeff
